ABOUT

BOB
I am a graduate of the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland California, class of 1965, with a Fine Arts degree in painting.
I designed stitchery kits for many years while I was the New Product Director at Sunset Designs. I oversaw design development of needlepoint, lace and quilting products for Peking Handicraft. I traveled to China to work with Creative Design developing a line of ribbons, bows and floral designs. I have designed everything from stuffed animals to fabric food to T-shirt kits and children's chairs, and have written many how-to craft articles and books.
Paper became my medium of choice some twenty years ago. Files and baskets hold my pallet of colored Lokta papers and if I lack a color I need, I color white paper with watercolor. I collect ephemera at garage and estate sales, using sheet music, stamps and old recipes in both my collages and on my 3-D birds.
I license my designs to manufacturing companies, have a small greeting card company and sell my original collages and birds in galleries.
I live with my rescue dog, Bob, overlooking the East Bay Regional Park, on the edge of the Hayward Fault in Oakland, California.
